How It Started
The one set with no second take.
I filmed my first wedding in 2012 as a way to practice for making movies. I fell in love with the challenge right away. A wedding is the one production where nothing can be reshot, and every moment matters to someone.
I never wanted to make films that are just beautiful shots laid over a song. I build each one around the real audio of the day, your vows, your letters, the toasts, and I apply the classic rules of cinema to tell it. The most common thing couples tell me is that it felt like watching a movie.
Before The Camera
I learned calm in a kitchen.
Before filmmaking, I was an executive chef with Restaurant Associates. Kitchens teach you to stay steady when the pressure is highest, to notice the details nobody else sees, and to respect every person who makes an event happen.
That is exactly how I work on a wedding day. Today I also direct brand films for companies through my studio, Modern Story, and every wedding gets that same level of craft.

Your vows and toasts recorded cleanly with a Zoom F6 recorder, wireless microphones and a Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun mic.

A preferred videographer for Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. Trained with Ray Roman. Featured on Style Me Pretty, and a Love Stories TV Wedding Film Awards nominee for Most Emotional Moment.
Off Camera
Happiest somewhere remote.
I have spent years traveling and seeking out wild places, from hiking The Narrows in Zion National Park to filming a wedding at Dry Tortugas National Park, seventy miles off Key West.

On The Day
A teammate, not a crew.
I reach out to your photographer before the wedding so we share a plan, and I love working with planners. Couples and their vendors tell me I am easy to work with, and that matters on a day with this many moving parts.
